How to get the wrong hard drive out of an Xbox 360

Hi I just bought a used Xbox 360 and it turns out that the previous owners put in a different hard drive than the normal one. It does not have a pull tab, putting a knife under it doesn’t work, and it is too thin for the slot. The brand is ATA. How do I get it out?

It's pretty simple when the HDD has the label to be pulled out if you couldn't remove it using a knife I'm afraid it will be necessary to take it to a technician in your city to open the console and remove the hard drive.

So, if you have the hard drive out you won't experience this problem, but as soon as you connect your hard drive you start getting these issues with the XBOX 360 turning off? If this is the case that means there is something wrong with the hard drive or
the actual port that the hard drive is going into. To actually test this out you'd need to get a replacement hard drive to see if this is actually is the case. If it's not the case then that means there is an issue with your console and it would need to be
repaired.

It's also quite possible that it might be something with your XBOX 360 hard drive. Have you tried to remove the hard drive out of the equation and use a removable storage device such as a USB Drive and try to start it up and see if it works. If that's the
