How to get sound from Xbox One into Logitech Speakers?

The Xbox One doesn't support my TV's resolution (1366x768, the 360 doesn't either, although it supports 1360x768 which is close enough) so I decided to plug it into my native 1080p monitor when I get the Xbox One. However, my monitor doesn't have integrated
speakers, so how would I be able to get sound from my Xbox One? I have a pair of Logitech speakers with a 3.5 mm end that I use for my PS3 and occasionally PC when I don't want to use my headset, but I don't know how I'd be able to get sound from the Xbox
One to said speakers since with the PS3 I'd just use the composite cables included with it and plug those into a Y-adapter and then into a female-female coupler and from there plug the 3.5 mm end from the speakers into the other end of the coupler, but the
XB1 doesn't support composite cables so that's not going to be an option. I'd prefer something cheap and easy but if it's going to have to be a bit complicated that's alright.

Is there anyone who can give me some advice on what I should do to prepare before I purchase the Xbox One so I can plug it into my monitor when I get it?

    Thanks.

    :)

XBox One X optical out to Logitech Z-5500 doesn't work

    Hello Thomas!

Thanks for reaching out with this situation. I understand you are having trouble getting your Logitech Z-5500 speakers to play audio from your Xbox One X. Does the optical audio cable itself you are using work with other devices? I would definitely recommend
contacting Logitech in regards to the possible compatibility and they also may be able to give you further assistance in how to set up their product for use with other devices. Is there any way you could possibly test out the consoles Optical Out port by connecting
to any other set of speakers or optical audio receiver? Please let us know with a reply how this goes for you.

Low Volume output on XBOX 360 (both old and brand new Slim)

No. It has nothing to do with headphones. The volume is low to external speakers, heaphones, TVs, etc. It doesn't matter what device it is connected to. I have used the standard definition cables, the component connection cables, HDMI cable, and the
cable with the PC connection. I have had it hooked up to Logitech Z623 speakers, Logitech Z906 speakers, some cheap brand of PC speakers, a Samsung 40" TV, a Sanyo 46" TV, a PC monitor with speakers, skullcandy heaphones, turtle Beach X2s, turtle Beach X32s.
The sound is low to all devices no matter how they are connected. It is this way on both of my XBOX 360s, both the original white console and a brand new slim. The logitech speakers have volume control on them and I have to crank it up to get a normal playing
volume whereas for TV and other consoles, I have it much lower. On the TVs, there is volume control which also must be greatly hightened to hear the XBOX games through. In game sound is all the way up. The TV is on (i double checked, I swear!!!!!). For
normal TV viewing and other consoles, I keep the audio at about a 12 for example on my Samsung TV. I have to have it around 35 to play XBOX. That's not the way it should be. If I hook up standard headphones to it with no volume control, it is very quiet
and no good for playing games.
