How to get rid of the preview dashboard update and switch back to original?

Ok so I had the preview dashboard update and it's messing up my youtube and I just prefer the original one better, on the "xbox preview app" I click on "registration" then the change button and I see it says "remove" so I click that but it then says...

"Choosing this option will restore factory defaults on this console, and erase all locally stored accounts, apps, games, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations"

will choosing this delete my saved games and stuff? Or if their is a different way to get the orginal xbox one dashboard back thanks

How to stop preview updates

I had signed up my xbox to preview updates before they release and it has my xbox one going nuts. Can anyone tell me how to get off the list and how to get rid of the update

Hi buddy,

Removing the update will remove everything from the internal Hard Drive on your Xbox One console, including games, game saves, DLC, settings, and profiles.

However, game saves are all backed up to the cloud and will download again once you launch the relevant game. Also, all the games can be copied to an external HDD or simply be re-downloaded/installed. All your profile information is also stored on the cloud
and will just need to be downloaded again.

What sort of problems are you having with YouTube? Mine's probably the only app I don't have trouble with on the new update..

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the update. SN1P3R's answer is correct but all questions regarding the preview program should be limited to the preview forums.

In the meantime you can also try power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

yep. i have the same issue. logged into main profile which is tied to preview program...get disconnected... switch to other profile not associated with preview.. i stay in a chat so just left the program.. now just gotta wait for the update to go back to
original build.

If you want to leave the preview program go into the preview dashboard then into registration then choose what you want to do, you will continue to get updates until the updates go live to the public, you cannot roll back the updates you get in the preview,
if you have any problems please post in the preview forum.

Your stuck with the update until it releases in april, theres no way to get rid of the update. You can however once this preview is over you acces the preview registration app and unregister for future preview updates.
