How to get rid of billing information?

As the title says, I wanna get rid of my billing information. Its all outdated and I think I even did some things wrong(putting the wrong billing address and stuff). I wanna know how to get rid of the billing address, phone number and zip code because when
I try to do it, it says "invalid billing information" or something along the lines of it. I want to get this stuff straightened before something happens in the future that requires I need this information.

Questions:

1. The title.

2. If I put in wrong or correct info BUT I opt out of recieving Microsoft products and offers and to NOT let Microsoft use my information for improving their service , will the billing info even matter? I will always buy things with prepaid cards that's
why and I will never attach a credit card to my account. Thanks.

The best thing to do is contact support and speak with a billing agent, they will be able to access your account and check what`s going on, They do investigations for these types of situations, Please reach out to them by visiting

can Add Or Remove the information for you.

 

You should be able to remove your billing information from the Microsoft commerce website

commerce.microsoft.com

From here, login to your account again (Extra Security), and click payment options and remove the payment of your chioce.

If you have an active subscription on anything, you'll need to transfer the payment menthod from that subscription to another one that is active.

Anything online billing anywhere requires your billing info really (Paypal, steam, kickstarter).

I've never been sent anything physical from Xbox. It's there for legal reasons

 

^You see, when I don't have anything put in, it says its required to have a zip code, billing adress and a phone number before clicking next. Thus meaning I have to put a fake one; I just want to leave the information blank.

 

Leaving it blank is not an option, and I doubt if will ever be an option

 

Be warned that entering fake information can lead to issues should you ever need to recover your account or verify that you are the actual owner of that account.

 

Also to add, even using prepaid cards, you still have to have a billing address on file for the exact reasons Homegrown states. So you can't leave the information blank.

 

You guys are helping a lot but I need one more question answered: If I just use prepaid cards and not PayPal or credit cards, will the info matter? Like HomeGrown said, I can use the info to recover my account but assuming my account is in safe hands, is
just the information for credit cards and PayPals?

 

It's not recommended to falsify your information, but technically if you put fake information a prepaid card will still work.
