How to get picture on tv when everything else is working

3. Connect your Xbox to a different TV or display if possible. This will help determine if the issue lies with the Xbox or the original TV. If the Xbox works fine on another TV, then the issue may be with the original TV.

4. Make sure your TV is set to the correct input or source for the HDMI port connected to your Xbox. Use your TV remote to cycle through the available inputs until you find the one that corresponds to the HDMI port your Xbox is connected to.

5. If you can hear the audio but see no picture, it's possible that the display settings on your Xbox are misconfigured. Try resetting the display settings on your Xbox by following these steps:

Yes, it works fine at home and on the TV in my aunt’s living room. It’s only on the bedroom tv at my aunt’s. I thought it could be due to a software update because the tv is a little older, & maybe someone else had this problem and figured it out. Also,
the display and everything else works perfectly, but when you go into av settings - hdmi - the picture of the tv where the game should show up is black and says it isn’t connected, when it obviously is. Have tried different hdmi cords and the other hdmi port,
and it’s the same problem.

I have tried changing the picture size on the dish remote, but it did not solve the problem.

Without the Xbox in the system the TV works, I get the correct picture size with dish and DVD's.

With the xbox connected I cannot get the correct picture size when watching TV, when I get a full picture on the screen it is over scanned.

Then when I switch to the Xbox I need to make the picture size smaller so I can see all the graphics on the xbox.

Hey there! When you connect via HDMI, do you get sound but no picture? Or are both sound and picture absent? Do component cables work to connect your console to your TV? Does the picture/sound appear to be fine if you use component?

I have the same problem. I have Virgin, everything worked fine yesterady and now i have a frozen picture and no live TV, but the picture works fine direct into my tv. Tried unplugging and replugging in but this hasnt fixed it so far.
