hi, as the headliner says, how to get a one month free trial on Gold Membership? I had this on my first account, and wanted to make a new one, and want to get 1 month free first )

when i try to redeem my first month free on the xbox dashboard it says "cannot retrieve information from xbox live" every time i try. why does this happen and how do i get rid of it?

By creating a NEW Gamertag ON THE CONSOLE ITSELF. The one month free trial is only for new members joining through the console. If you create a new Gamertag on the Xbox.com website and recover it from LIVE you also do NOT get the free month trial. And only
the first three Gamertags joining Live on that console get the free trial month.

My older son set up the Xbox Live for the 1st one month free already so how do we get the next 2 months free? Set up another account on the console???
