  1. How to get help from Microsoft in terms of warranty replacement?

In late April I bought a plug and play charger for my X Box One. It got a short in the cord a few weeks ago. I called them up and they set up an order. I specifically asked them "Do I sent both the cord and batter pack or just the cord with the short in
it?" and he said since it was an accessory and it wouldn't be fixed, to send both in and they'd just replace the whole thing. Nearly a month later I got a package from them with a new cable but neither my battery pack or a new one. I called them and they said
"Ih, sometimes it takes two weeks for the other parts to come back. Wait two weeks and if it's not there give us a call back and we'll see what we can do". This didn't seem right, so I called a manager today and he said "It says in the email we sent to just
send the cord". I said "No, it doesn't. It says to send the "defective unit" and your employee specifically told me to send in the cord AND battery pack". He then went on to tell me to wait a week and a half until the two weeks were up and if it hadn't come
by then I'm out of luck. This is the worst I've ever been treated by a company for anything. How do they think it's right to have me send in their defective products that I buy and then KEEP half of it and well me I'm out of luck. Can I contact the Better
    Business Bureau about this?

    :)

    Controller warranty

Hi, this varies from region to region but it's my understanding that in the UK any bundled accessories such as a controller carry the same warranty as the Xbox itself, if you take a look at this link.

    support.xbox.com/.../console-kinect-warranty

    2. Duration

Without prejudice to any statutory warranty to which You may be entitled under any local law applicable to You, and unless any such law provides for a longer term, Microsoft offers this Warranty, for a term of one (1) year from the purchase date of such
Xbox One from an authorized retailer, and one (1) year for Accessories purchased from an authorized retailer.

    (b) “Accessory” means a new Microsoft branded Xbox 360 or Xbox One hardware accessory purchased from an authorized retailer.

    (c) "Warranty Period" for Xbox One means one (1) year from the date You purchased it; and for Accessories, means one (1) year from the date You purchased it, subject to article 2 below.

So as I read that any accessory carries a 1 year warranty irrespective of it being purchased with the Xbox or afterwards. At least in the UK but the warranty offered does vary from country to country due to applicable laws in that country.
