    How to get HDMI


    Hi everybody : ) I bought recently a little tv (samsung) And my xbox 360 is older (i get a cable audio/video YUV) I read the support and i don't find a solution because when i push the button hdmi its doesn't working. I think i need to connect the cable
    red, blue and green.. but i don't have this possibility on my New tv. Please somebody can help to me ! Sorry for my English im French ; )

    How to get sound through HDMI?

    I'm having the same problem with my 360 E 4 gig. I had it hooked up to my Onkyo AVR and played fine for the last couple weeks PRIOR to hooking it up to the internet. As soon as i updated the xbox i lost sound through the HDMI. Tested cable straight to another
    TV and its not the problem. Looks like maybe a handshake issue between the AVR and XBOX

    I have the Xbox 260 Slim model and I wanted to buy a monitor to play it on which has an HDMI port, but no built in speakers.

    How will I be able to get any sound through the HDMI ports?

    How to get HDMI

    Check the manual of your TV, as my (older) Samsung TV did have component input, but via an

    adapter cable whip    .

    If there is no adapter, and the console really doesn't have a HDMI port, you will need a

    component to HDMI converter box    .

    Since Component is an analogue signal, and HDMI is digital, you can't use a simple adapter cable. You need electronics that take the analogue signal, and process that into a digital signal.

    The trouble is, that this process takes time, and impairs the image quality. So you will have to live with "input lag". Meaning, the image you see on your TV lags several milliseconds behind, so for timing relevant games like Rhythm Games or fighting games,
    this is not an ideal solution.

    Hello Rtsmlc,

    Can you check which HDMI port the HDMI cable is connected to? It should be connected to the port closest to the power cable.
