How To Get External Hard Drive To Work With MacBook Pro After Using It With My XBOX ONE

I was using a Western Digital My Passport Ultra external hard drive with my xbox one for a few months.

I now want to use it on my MacBook pro. I Deleted everything off of it on the xbox one but

when I plug it in to my MacBook pro I'm not able to access it in My Computer

But the laptop does show the driver installed and I see the drive in 'My printer and other Devices'

Any suggestions ? Any help would be extremely aprieciated!!

Xbox One & Macbook

Can anyone give me a bit of advice on this.

I currently have all my media stored on my Macbook and have being using Sofaplay to stream to my Xbox One however it rarely works consistently and is incredibly frustrating.

Is it possible to have an external hard drive connected to my Xbox via USB to store and play media and also have the ability to wirelessly add/remove media to that hard drive from my Macbook?

If it is possible any recommendations for suitable drives above 1TB would be appreciated or if it's not possible any alternative solutions?

Xbox One External HD

Hello,

So I have a 3TB External Hard Drive currently hooked up to my Xbox One with a 5TB External Hard Drive waiting to take its play when it gets full. However I am currently running out of space, so it is finally time to switch to the 5TB External Hard Drive.
How do I transfer all the data from my 3TB External Hard Drive to the replacement 5TB External Hard Drive?

It's a OSX issue

You will probably need to re-format the HDD to use it on your Mac

Open Disk Utility, and follow the steps here:

You can try, Hector. Check if the MacBook will be able to detect the external hard drive. This way we can validate if the issue is the Xbox or the hard drive itself.

Have you formatted the hard drive? If not, have a look here for instructions on how to do this on the console.

yeah a controller is working for my xbox one but my external hard drive which is a 3tb seagate is not working so my usb ports work fine its just for some reason the external hard drive isn't so any other suggestions or should i just get a new hard drive
and try again
