How to get Dolby Atmos to play from all 11.1 speakers?

I have an Xbox One S, Denon 4400 receiver with 11.1 speakers. The Xbox is connected to the receiver via HDMI 2.0 cable.

The Xbox plays Blurays encoded with Atmos just fine.

However, any other content (the Leaf and Amaze demos for example) only play on 7 of the 11 speakers. My rear surrounds and top rears are always silent.

How do I get the content to be played on these other 4 speakers.

When I connect my laptop to my receiver and play those same demos through Windows, all 11 of the speakers play fine. The issue only seems to be in the Xbox software.

I'm just coming by to say that I think it is absolutely crazy (in a cool way) that you have 11+ speakers fanned out throughout your room. Do you find the immersion to be a significant improvement over, say a 2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1 or 9.1 surround system?

Turns out I was wrong. Uninstalling and reinstalling DID help.

The reason that I thought it didn't is that after I installed it again, it didn't automatically change the audio setting from DTS to Atmos. The Dolby app looked like it was all set up and let me play the sample files, but it wasn't enabled. After I discovered
that and changed it manually, now I'm getting audo from all 11.1 speakers.

Another thing I've discovered is that only true Atmos content will play out of my mid-height and rear surrounds. 7.1 on down is played in only the other 7.1 speakers. So it's actually kind of cool that now I know how to tell whether the audio that is playing
is truly Atmos or not.

Why won't someone respond to this problem. Is it too much to ask to expect Atmos on Xbox One S to play on all 11.1 speakers from streaming apps just like movies do in the blu-ray app?

For kicks, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Dolby app. It didn't help.

Whitey Black: What app are you talking about? I have the Dolby Access App installed and configured as I mentioned in the OP.

My room is a dedicated home theater. And yeah, there's a significant difference when those rear surrounds and top middle height speakers aren't working. So to get around it, I've had to turn Atmos off on the Xbox and set it for DTS. Then my receiver interpolates
it to DTS Neural X which sounds a LOT better than the screwed up Atmos implementation inside Xbox!

I hope I'm wrong and Microsoft hasn't screwed the Atmos implementation up and that there is some setting somewhere that I'm missing. I wish someone that knows something about this issue would respond. Or I wish someone with 9.1 or 11.1 speakers would respond
and tell me for certain that it works for them and what their setup is so I can compare.

The thing that is really curious is the Dolby Access app on the PC plays perfectly to all 11.1 speakers (when plugged into an HDMI port on my Denon) and it sounds amazing, but the same app through the Xbox dumbs it down and it sounds dead in comparison.
