How to get an xbox one elite controller replaced?

Microsoft Complete covers your Xbox One console, plus included controller, against accidents and mechanical or electrical breakdowns for up to three years. For covered controller and console, you get up to two replacements of a standard controller or one
replacement of an Elite Controller, and one replacement of the console – no deductible required.

Hey there, its best you contact official support and they can check the warranty on this device and arrange for you to send back the controller for repair. The support chat did this for me recently and I've sent my controller off for repair, they're able

They give me no options there other than buying replacement parts for the swappable components (thumbsticks, paddles, d pad). Nothing about repair of the unit itself or replacement parts for the internals.

Is it a standard controller or an Elite controller?

If it’s standard you’ll have to replace the controller unfortunately. If it’s an elite you can get it serviced or replaced if it’s still under warranty.

If you have your receipt try checking with the retailer you purchased from and see if you are able to get a replacement or refund.

If not despite previous comments, send in your controllers for repair or replacements. It's best if your console is still covered by warranty as you won't need to pay much at all or any for that matter.

SEND IN THE BARE CONTROLLER, keep the removable sticks and DPAD, as you will be sent back barebone controller.
