How to get access to first account I made through Microsoft for Xbox live.

With regards to your gamertag, it is actually not possible to create another Xbox Live account under the same email address. A gamertag is only attached to one Microsoft email address so if it created a new gamertag, it means your original gamertag is associated on a different email address possibly an account you created long ago.

Do you remember using other email address or domain for your account? You might have the same first part of the email but the domain could be different such as Hotmail, Live, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. You can try to recover your other emails using the phone number or recovery information you have just follow the steps on this link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

It will send a code to your phone and once you verify it, you will see a hint on what email addresses your phone number was attached.

You can also try to sign in other email addresses you have via https://account.xbox.com/profile page and if it shows your correct gamertag, it means that is the email where it is associated.

Did I had to migrate my account if it was bought through Microsoft store and made through Microsoft in first place, java edition?

i am having the same issue I made my windows 8 account with a e mail that is not through Microsoft. since I don't use the e mail my xbox live is on anymore because I made it like 5 years ago I cant get my live and windows 8 to link. This is a joke you think
they would have thought about this. how do I link my windows 8 on desktop with xbox live.

I'm afraid there is not way to link or merge two (or more) Xbox Live Accounts in to 1 account.

You will have to get access to that original Microsoft Account to get access to that Xbox Live Account, maybe the steps or links on this page will be able to regain access to that MS account:

That link will have all options on how to try and get access again to the account up to contacting Xbox Support.

The change of address is made through the webiste, for security reasons. The Microsoft account can give access to applications other than the Xbox. So it is only done by logging in through the website.
