    It would seem to me taking a pic of the email and uploading it to them should work as well seeing as the email you get after a digital purchase is still a receipt/bill of sale.

    The rules say it has to be a retail purchase. If you purchased the card online through a retailer, you could probably use your online receipt, but you cannot get the $5 promotion by buying more money on your console.
