How to get 4k quality picture from you Xbox One S

This is for satellite Dish Hopper 3 users. If you want 4K quality picture it is best to use 4k devices with the Xbox One.

First you have to have the following things: (1) 4K TV with HDR (2) works best with a 4K receiver for sound (3) of course you must have a Xbox One S (4) Dish Network Hopper 3 (5)
4K Ultra HDMI cables to connect all devices.

Main note is if you connect the Dish Hopper to the Xbox One S you will get 4K quality picture, but you may need to adjust settings on your TV. (we own a Sony and had to make adjustments). If you connect your hopper to the receiver directly then you will
not get 4k quality you will go 1080i.

So connection are: TV -> Receiver -> Xbox One S -> Hooper. If you have questions about best way to connect or setting/adjustments feel free to message me.

Xbox one X v.s Xbox one S

So for the people who dont know because i get asked a lot the Xbox one X has 4k gaming quality versus Xbox one S has 4k video quality, and I was told that you dont have to have a 4k TV for the 4k to work

xbox one s does not support 4:2:2 hdr!!!

Xbox one s only supports hdr game with ycbcr 4:2:0 while playing forza horizon 3. It should support ycbcr 4:2:2 4k 60Hz as well for better picture quality.

I don’t have a xbox one s or x. Just a normal xbox one. I do realize that i wont be able to have full 4K graphics when using just the standard console. But what i don’t understand is how my old led tv has better picture quality with my games than my 4K
tv.

Unfortunately the Xbox one S is only really capable of maxing out at 1080p UHD. If you want the full 4k HDR experience you'll need the Xbox One X. I dont think there's a way of getting it to run even in 4k UHD on their S. The only 4k you'll get on the
S is the streaming and video quality.

Well if you have a Full HD TV i recomend you the Xbox one S, both works on with TV, but you will really enjoy the best quality from One X using a 4k TV. Also in the future if you buy a 4k TV you will enjoy a really great quality from the S because the upscaling
feature and the HDR. Of course the Xbox one X will be the best option if money is not a problem for you, but if you are trying to save money the S is the best option.

I never bought the S but like I said I do already have a 4K tv with HDR. I do not currently have a 4K blu Ray player either so that was another draw. Just didn't know how much of a difference the picture quality would be In general since I've never experienced
it in person
