Here are given troubleshooting:

Go to xbox. com and login to your profile

Go to Profile top right

Find manage game

Click on Flight Sim 2024

You will see 3 options delete all 3

This reset game but career progress is saved…

Next time close game properly and save game progress on external file.

i have exactly the same problem, trying to download even the Standard mandatory update, more than 5 times from steam games, and finally this is the message: YOUR LAST SESSION OF MICROSFOT FLIGHT SIMULATOR ENDED UNEXPECTEDLY, THIS MAY BE DUE TO INSTALLED 3RD PARTY CONTENT..........

I AM CRYING, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO, WITH LATEST PC RTS 3090 TOP OF THE LINE PC 2 MONTHS OLD, STILL CAN'T INSALL MICROFOT FLIGHT SIMULATOR

flight simulator uses a baseline loader, the 2.1 GB thing that you initially download it, as the way it differentiates between platforms. other than that all updating is done internally in the game. The Xbox on the other end of your cloud gaming session has not likely booted flight simulator since the last update, and therefore it needs to decompress and install them on its own. Nothing is being written to your hard drive.

To clarify and correct the previous mail, we don't think that there is a problem downloading the Flight Simulator game to the PC. As soon as we open the game, a message saying, "Your last session of Microsoft Flight simulator ended unexpectedly. This may be due to installed 3rd party content, out of date content, or incompatible drivers." appears, and as soon as we click, 'continue in safe mode' or 'continue in normal mode' the game crashes, and this happens every time. We have made sure that the problem is definitely not due to 3rd party content, out of date content or incompatible drivers, so we are deeply confused on why it isn't working.

We would much appreciate your assistance and we look forward to hear from you and resolve the problem and finally enjoy the game.
