How to fix Xbox recording error 0x82323008 on PC?

I've been using the Xbox game bar to record stuff for a while now but a couple months ago my gamebar stopped letting me record and gave me the error code 0x82323008 every time I tried. No matter what settings I try or what I record, it always gives me the same error. How can I fix this?

The Xbox Game Bar recording error 0x82323008 can be caused by a variety of factors, and there are a few things you can try to fix it.

Make sure that the Xbox Game Bar app is up to date by checking for updates through the Microsoft Store.

Make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. You can check for updates on the manufacturer's website or use a driver updater tool.

hmm, the error code is off by 1, does that mean anything?

also, do you know what the error code 0x82323008 means? surely it must mean something, but i couldnt find it anywhere
