    Ok, before i get flamed im assuming a lot of you have tried this with no success but it just worked for me first try.

    Hold power down for 8-10 seconds to fully power off

    wait 30 seconds

    power on and sign in

    Microsoft looking into Error Code 0x8004888d

    I haven't seen this error yet, but a lot of people aren't able to connect to live. Maybe you are among the people suffering from error code "0x8004888d". It pops up whenever someone tries to sign into their account. So far the news is that Microsoft is working hard to fix the issue. So are you having the problems?

    I unplugged mine for 1 minute or so then tried again and it worked.

    Does not work, tried it multiple times also changed my region. Nothing. If you can get in its very random. I do not suggest spamming to get in either that will only slow down the fix for everyone.
