how to fix service info is unavailable

when i was about to reset it something popped up saying “You need to be online to remove home Xbox associations” i was wondering if i can still continue without connecting and not mess up anything or if i should connect first and if so how do i go online

Given your generalized issue, where you're unable to play any title, I would recommend resetting your console. Following the instructions below, you can choose between 2 types of restoration: one, keeping your data, and the other, erasing them.

You can try the first option, and if it doesn't work, you can opt for the second. I hope this procedure can resolve your problem.

Even though there seem to be no issues with your router, I also advise unplugging its power for a few minutes, restarting the console, and trying again before proceeding with the reset.

To reset your console:

Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

You can choose between resetting and removing everything or resetting and keeping games and apps.
It's important you know that "Reset and remove everything" restores the console to factory default settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps, will be deleted.

Hi Max.

Given your situation, if the console allows you to proceed, you should do so. Your problem is indeed the lack of connection. The only test was to reset your modem/router, as I have already mentioned. If you have done that and nothing has changed, it seems that the reset is the last solution, unless it is a technical issue.

Yup. I'm getting the same thing. I tried hard resetting, clearing cache, alternate mac address and my account, cant get my account so I did a factory reset and it wont update cause it's say it isn't connected to the internet and when I test my connection
it says it's all good. This is very frustrating.

I am having the same exact problem as Mtntrooper34 and have tried these steps support.xbox.com/.../network-connection-error-solution but still it keeps on saying I connect to my router and have an open NAT type but keeps on saying that service info is unavailable.
If you would kindly give me some detail information of whats going on with the Xbox services I would much appreciate it.
