    How to fix no display on tv/monitor


    Hi, I recently found out how to fix the no display issue on the Xbox 360. DISCLAIMER: This may not work for you. I used a Xbox 360 Elite 120gb.

    Its simple. Pull out the hard drive, turn it on and it should display something, as it will be back to default settings. Then put the hard drive back in with out turning it off, then it will reboot, and it should work. I hope I helped.

    Xbox One with DVI on a TFT Monitor --> image vertically stretched

    Hi, i`m using my xbox on my PC Monitor. I changed the display settings to DVI to have a full HD resolution. But since the Monitor has not the same aspect ratio as a TV (not 1900*1080 but 1900*1200) the image is vertically stretched. How can i fix this?

    PS: no adjustments on my monitor possible (its locked for some reason)

    Absolutely! But the display should be able to do 120Hz, but only at 1080P as this is a limitation of FreeSync with HDMI for this display.

    Make sure you enable VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) in the Xbox display settings as this will remove stuttering and screen tearing.

    Just on a technical note, 1440P monitors are not 2K displays. A 2K display is 1080P, 1440P monitors are 2.5K

    It all varies depending on what TV/monitor you have, my monitor runs on 1920x1080 but yours may not be able to display an image of that size. You should go into the display discovery and allow the console to get all of its settings directly from the TV/monitor.

    That is a 1980P monitor and the console is to 4K which this display doesn't support. To fix it you need to reset the display settings

    Reset Xbox display settings.
