    How to fix game/map not loading issues?


    The main issue is with loading Fallout 4. This has been happening for a week and as of today I am still having the same issue.

    Here is a run-down of what's happening:

    I am unable to play Fallout 4 as the map will not load properly and I end up falling through it. The game was working fine the day before I had to work on artwork. The next day I tried loading up my game and when I started up my save files (all are saved
    and display the thumbnail that was there at the time of the save), but when I try to load any saves I have the same issues no matter where I am on the map at the time of the saves.

    I have over 11 days (264 hours) of save data that I do not want to lose and I refuse to start a new game. I am extremely worried and I don't understand why this happened all of a sudden.

    For the first link: That shows what happened when I had started the game and the first loading screen appears. I felt like something was wrong as the loading screens usually take a while before they're done, well, loading. That one took no more than a few
    seconds then chaos ensues.

    For the second link: That shows more in-depth of what was happening as I was falling through the map the entire time.

    For what I wasn't able to record: I landed on the bottom of the map (shown in videos) and brought up my Pip-Boy and fast traveled to The Railroad as I thought the issue may just be exclusive to Sanctuary Hills. When I got to The Railroad everything was dark
    and I couldn't go past the stairs. No NPCs were around. Just me and Nick. I saved there and even though I reloaded that save to see if it may fix the map issue, it also didn't work.

    I'm unsure if this is a game issue or my Xbox One, but I know my save data is safe and I tried to load all of the saves I had that had worked perfectly fine the day before and nothing worked. Any advice is welcome and suggestions would be great. I want to
    fix this issue as soon as possible as I'm really worried.

    On-Screen Mini Map is Missing

    I just realized my in game mini map in the bottom corner of the screen is not there. It's annoying loading up the full map everytime I need to see a map.

    Anyone else have this problem or know how to remedy it?

    Xbox 360 back up game discs saved to hard drive?

    I have since resolved the issue by doing what i mentioned earlier. How ever the problem was that i didn't install the games prior to them becoming scratched so I did not have a "good" copy, Since it's scratched now 4 maps wouldn't load and it was too scratched
    to install with, How ever it starts the game and does everything but load those 4 maps.

    Thanks for the response and the messages on this, I appreciated the quick fix.

    COD stuck and not loading.

    Hey guys just an update. Idk if it was the game - the xbox or my profile but I am finally back to normal. The game is working and loads up great. I also was able to redownload the season pass and map packs with no issues. Good Luck to anyone having issues
    - hopefully everything will be fixed. I know how frustrating it is when this happens.

    i'm having trouble with the seasons pass , i downloaded it and the maps but i cant actually mload the maps , there on my playlist but wont load :(, really annoying , i know there having market place issues atm , so hopefully when they fix it there end it

    Hi, YourLocalEmo15! Thank you for your reply and additional information.

    Would you mind giving this a try?

    - Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.
    - Unplug your external storage unit, and leave it like that.
    - Turn your console back on.
    - Try launching a game.

    Sometimes a corrupted/malfunctioning external storage unit can cause issues with launching or managing games, even if the game in question is not currently installed on it.

    If the previous doesn't work, would you mind performing a soft factory reset on your console? I'm not sure if that's what you were referring to when you said you reset your console.

    By "Soft" I mean that none of your games will be uninstalled, but accounts and local save data will be removed from the console. This would help refresh your system as well as clear any temporary files that may be causing this. To do so:

    - Go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset Xbox > Keep games and apps.
    - Just keep in mind you will need an internet connection and your account details (for each account) to sign in again.

    * Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and the Xbox Network, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.
