How to fix Fortnite when it is not updating.

2 months ago whilst Fortnite was updating it stopped with the message ‘installation stopped’. I have followed a number of online suggestions such as restarting the console, freeing up space, updating the console, resetting the console but keeping the games, unplugging the external hard drive and restarting the console. We then contacted Epic who suggested altering the DNS settings and reset my client settings but nothing has worked.

I have tried contacting Microsoft/Xbox again who have been useless and keep telling me that as all the other games update fine is not their problem and won’t even look into it for me!

Does anyone have a suggestion I could try that I have not already attempted?

1. Clear the cache on your Xbox One console. To do this, hold down the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console and wait at least 10 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the console.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Fortnite. To do this, go to "My games & apps" on your Xbox One, find Fortnite, and select "Uninstall." Once it's uninstalled, go to the Microsoft Store and reinstall the game.

3. Check your internet connection. Make sure your Xbox One is connected to the internet and that your connection is stable. You can also try resetting your router or modem.

If none of these steps work, you may want to contact Epic Games again and let them know that you've tried all of these troubleshooting steps. They may have additional suggestions or be able to provide further assistance.

I believe Fortnite is going be fixing this issue with an update. Not sure when the update going come out but there should be one in a few days.

In the meantime, I recommend you going to Fortnite Forums and provide your feedback to them regarding issues in the 9.10 update.
