How to fix extremely slow bandwidth?

Long story short, BattleField Hardline (digital) was only 53% complete after 12 hours of installing. Some time later, I accidently canceled it (meant to hit pause) and in 1hr 30m it's zoomed up to 9%. Yay. Going over to bandwidth usage shows that I have
a DL speed of about 5.5mb/s.

How do I increase this? Downloads that take me two hours take my friends 30m. I've tried almost everything.

please try to fix the rewards which are extremely slow and kick you out all the time.

My latency is 70 ms

not sure if this is in the right category. My Xbox seems extremely slow. My latency is 70 ms. The rest of my specs look ok.

Download speed is 61.35 Mbps

Upload speed is 6.24 Mbps

Packet loss 0%

MTU 1480

Latency 70 ms

Wireless strength 100%

Not sure how to fix. Any help is appreciated.

If you have a slow bandwidth to start with there's nothing much you can do besides getting a higher (more expensive) internet package.

Could you visit this link on your pc/tablet and check what your download rate is ?

Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

If via that link it's still around 5.5 the only option to increase downloadspeed is to get better internet. (speedtest.net shows speeds in Megabit instead of megabyte so divide the number you get by 8 to get megabytes/second so for 5.5 you'll get around
44megabit/s) If however that link gives a higher rating then you might want to do some network troubleshooting.

Connecting to live uses bandwidth.You are then connecting to the Destiny servers which also uses bandwidth.

1:6mbps is extremely slow & not a recommended speed for xbox live/online multiplayer.

5mbps is the minimum really & even with that you may struggle at times.

The fluctuation in speeds is normal. Your internet circuit is relative slow and anything else happening on your network or the servers can impact your actual speeds. It is extremely rare to get your full bandwidth when downloading anything.

I have seen this before ,where the bandwidth usage screen reports incorrectly. Perhaps a bug.
