    How to Find SSID

    Login Info



    1. Gateway Address: "192.168.2.1" or try "172.16.0.1" or try "http://gateway.2wire.net/management"***
    2. Username: Try "admin" otherwise there is no default username.
    3. Password: Try "admin" or try “2wire”otherwise there is no default password.


    ***Note: The Management and Diagnostic Console (MDC) settings are dependent on the 2Wire gateway software release. The MDC are for 2Wire gateways running software release 4.21.x If your gateway is running a software release earlier than 4.21.x, some of these
    settings may not be available.





    How to Find SSID (Network Name)

    1. Connect a computer to your gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. Type the gateway address: "192.168.2.1" or try "172.16.0.1" into the web address.
    4. If prompted for a username and password try "admin" for both the username and password, if the login failed, check your ISP documentation for a different username and password.
    5. Once logged into the gateway, click on "Home Networks" on the top.
    6. Click on the "Summary" subcategory.
    7. Your Network name will be located in the "Status at a Glance" page, under "wireless settings".

    • Username - empty
    • Password - admin
    • Gateway - 192.168.1.1





    How To Find SSID

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an ethernet cable.
    2. Log into the router by entering the default gateway (192.168.1.1) into the address bar of the internet browser.
    3. The router will then prompt for a user name and password. By default leave the user name blank and enter in "admin" for the password.
    4. Select Wireless from the menus at the top.
    5. For "Wireless Configuration" select the Manual option.
    6. The SSID is located where it says Network Name (SSID).

    I don't get this either. I created a post on here a couple days ago about DLC but I can't seem to find it now. I wish there was a button or a search that takes you right to your post from the main page...OR one that informs you of where you posted. I can't
