    How to find a player who changed their game tag


    I was playing with a guy I thought was really funny. Added him. Informed him that he could change his gamer tag from the original that Xbox gives you when you start. That night I went through and cleared out all the name I didn't remember from my friends
    list. He's gone. Any way to try and find him again? I went back and found his old gamer tag and searched it to no avail.

    Playing Tag Matches with a friend

    So when I play ranked tag matches online, I noticed that sometimes I would fight against two people using their own gamer tags as opposed to [Gamertag](1). I play with my brother in ranked tag matches as a guest most of the time. So how do these people play
    on the same 360 with separate gamer tags? Just recover your account on the 360 you're playing on? Also when you play tag matches with 2 separate gamer tags, does the person who recovered (if that's how it works) their tag get credit to their statistics?

    Gamertag Change

    Forced name changes are only enforced if a player is reported by others and the XBLPET deem it against the Code of Conduct. As your tag does not seem to be offensive and does not directly give out personal info, I don't think you will get one.

    Just based on reading this I would think that the only people who can receive the free change are those that had their gamer tag generated, not those who created their own.

    If your gamertag was created for you when you signed up for Xbox LIVE, you can change your gamertag once for free.

    If the system creates a gamertag for you, you get a free gamertag change. It is only available during the first 30 days of the account. I'm not sure if it's possible at this time to change it through Windows 8, but you can find instructions on how to change

    I have a question the people that are pushing us out of our spots that are teammates that is called trolling and thinking you're funny and hilarious and getting a skilled what's going to be done with them because I file complain on at least I know

    While this is a real problem, there is the bigger one to be aware of. When enough negative reports are made MSLive offers a free gamer tag change (why I have no clue). The player you report and DO NOT PREFER to play with changes the gamer tag and now is
    paired back in matches with you. This leads to another DO NOT PREFER and negative rep which results in yet another gamer tag change free of charge. MSXBL needs to take this to the next level of preference control, block the account not the gamer tag from
    being paired with players who do not prefer to play with unsporting trolls.
