    How to factory reset Xbox One X HDD without power


    Hello, my Xbox One X will not power on and I would like to factory reset the hard drive, or failing that to wipe it clean. Is there any way to do this? My console will not turn on at all so I have no way to do it through the Xbox's OS like I normally would. Any help is appreciated.

    Keep in mind that self-repair violates the terms of service and can put the console at risk for being banned, so you'd want to send it in for repair.

    Based on that I guess I'll have to either find some parts and figure out what is wrong with it by process of elimination or just send it in for repair. I don't want to donate/recycle/sell it with my data on the HDD so don't really have a choice. Thanks for the reply

    Unfortunately, if the console doesn't turn on at all it's not possible to reset the console and erase everything.
