How to exit multiplayer?

Hey, kind of a dumb question, but how do you back out of the multiplayer/matchmaking menu? I played Warzone tonight, and after looking at the after-match statistics, I pressed B and was back on the matchmaking screen. But from this screen, i pressed B again
but nothing happened. I tried all buttons, and also pressing menu to go to the Spartan Hub, but nothing actually seems to have an option to leave multiplayer and return to the main menu.

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance....

How to exit a game

You can use the controller or place your left hand down at an angle and it should stop the game.

You can then speak to the Kinect and tell it to take you to the dashboard.(pending your country and language)

 

Funny you ask – I had the exact same problem on my first go with Warzone. But only then – after subsequent rounds, pressing B did the trick - and the Option to leave the Lobby was clearly marked on the bottom. After the first time, that is.

Same think happened to me the very first time playing Warzone. Worked fine since. Must be a glitch

 

^Same here... maybe just a minor glitch or something. Works the way it should now for me as well.

 

I couldn't back out until the match started earlier. This is the type of thing that has to work if your going to punish players for leaving a match. I'm not trying to get a temp ban because I gotta keep exiting during the match.

 

This is exactly what I was thinking, RemittingFire! They're very clear about the "penalties will be enforced for quitting, team killing, etc." right there on the match-select screen, so they shouldn't lock you out from leaving before the match even starts.
I don't even mind the not being able to leave during the cutscene at the beginning, but as long as we're still on the matchmaking screen we should be able to choose to quit.

 

I agree Jaymo, I have kids so if I gotta go it's usually not a situation where I can just push through a 15 minute match for the next opprotunity, I understand wanting to limit people leaving or afk'ing but having an automated banning system is not the way.
Data doesn't account for glitches like these or networking limitations. You gotta fix the problems in the games end before punishing players.
