How to escape submission

I keep getting submitted before i can escape. Are my opponents just too skilled or is there a secret?

I cant believe how well ive gotten the hang of the submissions in this game lol thats all i do now is submissions i get more satisfactory out of the fight.

Changing directions more frequently can make it a little easier.

start with one direction

alternate to the opposite direction

repeat twice

choose a third direction for the real escape

hell need to use a breaking point submission, people like Jericho and Bret Hart have those as their finishers, but other wrestlers in the game also have them to, he will need to be near their head, arms, or legs and hold down the A button, and it will go
into a breaking point submission, where he will need to tap the face buttons over and over to get them to submit.
