How to earn the "Can't win" medal?

I have earned all achievements & medals except this one.

It says to reach a position of no move 3 times in a row in 3 different layouts. Does it mean I have to deliberately lose and exit 9 games to get this?

Until now I have a 100% record in all 4 difficulty levels (80/80 all told). Even if I get stuck I can always get out of it via reshuffling or undoing. It would suck if I have to give up on the perfect record to get that one medal. :-(

Has anyone earned that medal without giving up the 100% record?

Are you serious man? Wow. DO NOT RAGE QUIT to get your win streak. That's lame. Earn it the real way. What's the point of getting achievements if you can't earn them legit. Is that how you got your wins Koompbala?

I had no idea something like that was possible and left in the game. My tactic was to fight a couple matches, win those, then wait. I wouldn't touch ranked for a few days so my rank would go back down and I could face newer meat. Repeated the process a couple
more times for my wins.

 

You just have to lose three in a row on different boards. I did the first one on an easy board, which took quite awhile, then lost the second and third on two of the expert boards.

Even when deliberately trying to lose, even on the harder boards, new matches keep coming up, making it harder than it seems it should be.

The only way I can think of to do this and keep a literal perfect record would be to "win" the achievement, then reset the stats, then win another 80 straight to get back where you were.

Another way would be to win 597 games. 597 divided by 600 is 99.5%, which would round off to 100%.

 

Thanks Brickdeath for the suggestions. I got the medal by playing on the newly added challenges easily with all those wildcards stacking on top of each other. Just shuffle once at the very start, then pick a "stacking pair" and try to eliminate all other
wildcards of that type. Easy as breeze, I think I did it in 5 mins or so. Interestingly, the medal showed up immediately after I reached the "stuck state" in the 3rd game, so I just undid a few moves and finished the game anyway. Record stands as 81/83 for
now, quite strange eh?

I'll reshuffle at the beginning of the game and then reach the "no more moves" and return to the menu and check my medal status and it will show 0/3 still. Am I doing something wrong? I've gotten to 1/3 once and it stayed that way for 3 or 4 games (each
of which I lost) and then went back to 0/3. I read the comments above and have tried all that and nothing has worked. I just installed the game last week so I wouldn't think uninstalling it would help but I may be wrong

The stats could be having an issue if a needed update for the game failed to install correctly. Please try the following steps to make certain that everything is up to date:

1. Press the Windows key

2. Type in Windows Update

3. Under the search bar you see on the right, choose Check for Updates

4. In the Windows Update screen, press the Check Now button

5. Even if it doesn't seem to find any updates, click on View Details

6. Install any updates you see that haven't been installed- including optional ones

7. Restart using the restart option from the shutdown menu.

Then please try these steps:

1. Press Windows Key + R

2. In the box, type wsreset.exe and press Enter

3. This will re-launch the Windows Store

4. Hover over the right-hand side to bring up the charm bar

5. Choose Settings

6. Choose App Updates

7. Choose Sync licenses

If you find that these steps show that you are completely up to date, then please try the following in order to fix any possible corruption in the game’s files. Uninstall the game and then restart your system by selecting the “Restart” option from the shutdown
menu. Once you’re back up and running, press the Windows Key+R and type wsreset.exe in the dialog box and press Enter. This will refresh and re-open the Windows Store app and you can reinstall the game.
