Next thing to do is to make sure your device has the latest updates installed. Follow the steps below:

1. Make sure Windows is up to date.

• Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
  
• On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
  
• On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available
  

including optional updates for your device.

• Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
  
• Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.
  

2. Update your Windows and device drivers

> For the best game performance, make sure your system’s video card drivers (or display adapter drivers) are up to date. Drivers are available on the support website for your computer manufacturer, or if your computer system is custom built, on the video card manufacturer’s support website. 3. Make sure Xbox app is up to date.

• Under Updates & downloads, check if there is any updates available for the Xbox app. If an update is available, select Update.
  

4. Make sure you are signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account.

> To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.

Finally, we can install the game in your Xbox app through the Microsoft Store.

• Open the Microsoft Store app on your PC.
  
• Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the app and select "Downloads and updates."
  
• Click on "Get updates" to check for any available updates.
  
• If your game is listed under "Ready to install," click on the "Install" button next to it to start the download. You may also search the game and click on Install button to start downloading.

Welcome to the fun time of purchasing games online.

A game code redeemed on xbox.com should automatically load up on your console when you sign in with the gamertag that redeemed it.

Press the Guide button on your controller and scroll all the way to the left. Choose Active Downloads to see if the game is currently downloading or in a Pending state. If it is in a Pending state then wait a moment and it will begin to download.

If it is not there double check your downloaded games to see if it is in the list. If it is not there then head to Settings>Accounts>Download History to find the game and begin the download.
