How to download Gaming Services if Microsoft Store is blocked?

1. Try resetting the Microsoft Store and Gaming Services app. Go to your Settings app and, under Apps and Features, locate the Microsoft Store app. Click on it, then press Advanced Options, then Terminate, and then Reset. Repeat this with the Gaming Services app too. Restart your PC and try to install the game again.
   
2. Try turning your firewall off. This sometimes blocks Game Pass access. Turn it off and try to install the game. If it downloads, simply turn it back on once it’s finished.

Make sure that your son’s account is added to a Microsoft Family group where you as parents can manage his account. You can set the content filters to your desired maturity level. The downside is that he may still able to download games that is appropriate in his age. There’s really no direct option to block him from downloading games especially if it’s a free game.

Your other games will not be affected as Gaming Services is only used in the Xbox app and Microsoft Store.

Gaming services is not the Xbox app, it works as an add-on and the Xbox app games will only work if it is installed on your pc. You can download it from the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/gaming-servic...

You can also be downloaded through the Microsoft store after deleting his records, to download directly from the Microsoft Store, open it and in the upper right corner click on the 3 dots (...) Downloads and updates and it will be there to be downloaded again, if not, click on get updates.

To play xcloud games you must have an Xbox controller or compatible controllers, the keyboard and mouse will not work.

If you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription you should be able to download Ark from the Microsoft store for free. You will need to re download through the Microsoft Store in order to play, because you will be on Microsoft's Services and not Steam's.

So it's not clear what's going on here for me currently -- could you clarify: where are you downloading it from? Steam or the Microsoft Store App? If I'm clear all steam does is launch the MSFS Launcher, and that's where the downloads take place - if so it is 100% a developer issue that only the developer can fix. I doubt that it is the operating system itself that is the issue if everything else works fine -- it is 100% the game. If not and its a Microsoft Store App issue, then you should engage Windows Support - but that doesn't seem like the case here.

I wouldn't recommend a clean install if that's what you don't want to do because I don't know or think that it will solve the issue if every other program is working correctly. As you've stated:

• Windows 10 Pro issue. Though all other services relating to internet are working flawless
  
• MSFS2020 incoming traffic is blocked by Internet provider.
  
• MSFS2020 download service is blocked in my region
  

These all point to an issue with the game directly - not your provider, not your PC, and not your region. If anything the issue is the installer.

You can try these options, but I genuinely don't think, in my personal opinion, doing clean install of Windows is guaranteed to fix the problem:
