How to download a game I bought from a game card.

I recently bought a game card from target for nba 2k 23 and I went to Microsoft in the browser and entered the code. I then went to my xbox and has no problem downloading it. The next day I went to my other xbox and signed in on the exact same account and went to the store to try and download it. The game had no option to download, only to buy it again. Anyone that can help?

Hi! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community, not a Microsoft employee. Hope you are doing well!

Just to confirm, when you signed in your account on another consle it does show the correct gamertag right? If it is, try to visit https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders page as well to see if the game is showing and if it is showing as redeemed.

If you can still play the game on the other console just fine, meaning the license is active under that account. Try to check the game by going to My games & apps > See all > Full library > All owned games, select the game title (NBA 2k23), then press Install all.

In case the same thing is happening, try to remove and add your profile on the affected console via the steps on this link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-pro...

Once you are done adding your profile, make sure to restart the console as well then check if the install option will pop up.

It said Game Broken. I downloaded twice using that instructions. But still cant play it. Is there any region check ? I bought it with credit card in the US but i'm downloading it from another place.

I just bought a gold card for a year for my son with a gift card he is not able to download it because you guys have been making payments on a game pass on Microsoft that I didn't authorize so how do you guys have me block from putting this on my son's
game are you guys saying that I have to pay that amount before I put gold on his game?

How did you start the download as I bought the same game with no cd but instead a printed "Tombraider card" with the code on the back? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Go to microsoft.com/redeem, log into your Microsoft account, and enter the 25-character code provided

After that the game will be automatically added to your library

Back on your console:

Go to My games & apps > See all > Full library > All owned games, select the game title, then press Install all.
