How to disable XBOX ONE Wireless controller bluetooth/RF connection?

it will only try to connect if you hit the sync button, this applies to all newer controllers from the s upwards.

my fault its the XBOX ONE S if thats makes any difference.

If i ll reset the controller and not sync it as you mention, the wifi of the controller will still be on searching to connect on the console?

xbox does not have or use bluetooth (only the newer controllers do for pc and other device connections), it is wifi only, you could reset the controller and just not sync it to the xbox but other than than there is no point.

when you have it wired it overrides the wirless connection of the controller.
