How to delete saved data that doesn’t appear when syncing

Thanks for coming to the forums. If you have deleted from everywhere, this deletes from Xbox and cloud. If the save still shows, then it is most likely saved on the game server side. You would need to reach out to the developer to see if they can delete
it for you.

It does delete it everywhere, however when I start the game it sync’s & I’m back to the saved game I thought was deleted so I can never go back to the original game & start the game over. The game is Halo & it shows that I had finished the game? The server
it Microsoft’s I thought?

Thanks for the reply. The developer is 343 studios. We recommend to reach out to them. As the save should be gone from the cloud and console if you deleted from everywhere.

All save data is stored on the internal drive for any game that it was downloaded for. All save data is also stored online. Save data is downloaded when you install a game and when a game is opened (if the cloud service says the console’s data isn’t the
latest version), usually after the Press Menu title screen, when the Syncing Save Data popup pops up. Some games appear to also have extra “save data” stored locally. That is, data space reserved for the game. So the game doesn’t need to worry about not having
space.

This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

“Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???
