How to delete an individual game save off of my XBox One

Recently when I was playing Fallout 4, I made a manual game save so that I could save and exit the game. Midway through the save process, I was kicked back to the dashboard. Now when I try to load Fallout 4, it just freezes at the "character selection" screen
and kicks me again out to the dashboard. I've tried many times to select a different character, or anything else, but I can't make it past this screen. I'm assuming it's because the last game save is corrupted, and it tries to load this for the "continue"
selection.

How would I go about deleting just that last save game file? This was very easy to do on the XBox 360, but I haven't been able to find a way to do it on the XBox One. It seems as though my only option is to delete the
entire Fallout 4 game save, which has over 600 hours through multiple characters. Obviously I don't want to do that! This one bad save won't even allow me to select a different character, it just freezes and sends me back to the dashboard.
There's got to be a way to delete just one bad save without affecting everything else that I have saved for the game??? Apparently my cloud save is corrupted too, so that's not an option to recover.

Things that I've tried:

1) Took XBox One offline. Deleted the complete Fallout 4 local save. Went online and resynced with the cloud. Game will still not make it past the initial "selection" screen. Note: It is not a game problem. When I went offline and deleted the local save,
the game started normally while I was offline, and it correctly let me go to the screen to make a new character.

2) Unplugged the XBox One for multiple hours, and tried the steps in part 1 above. Still a no go.

What can I do at this point to save my game save? I can't believe that one corrupted save will destroy over 600 hours of work spanning multiple (not even connected) characters. There has got to be a way of just deleting that one bad save???

Please help, I really don't want to lose all my progress and have to start at the very beginning again. I am a strictly offline player, and I don't understand why the saves are "locked down" so much.

How to Delete Cloud Saves

Hi, here is a step by step guide on how to remove game save data from your Xbox One and Cloud storage.

How do I delete saves that I no longer need?

You can manage your data for individual games through My games & apps on your Home screen. Here's how:

1.On Home, pull the right trigger , and then press A to open My games and apps.

2.Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller and then select Manage game.

3.Scroll to the right, highlight the saved data for your gamertag under Saved Data and then press A on your controller.

4.You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:

◦Delete from console will remove the local copy of this save. You can retrieve it from the cloud the next time you play.

◦Delete everywhere will remove your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on.

◦Cancel will leave your data intact.

Try going to my games and apps hover over fallout 4 press start - manage game - saved data and delete the saves (you mentioned it got corrupted both main and secondary save so you'll need to restart the campaign)

I had to delete my entire Fallout 4 save from the cloud and local. Everything lost. Easily over 600 hours, and 5 different characters. Sigh...

I understand why they won't allow us backing up our saves to a USB drive... everyone's a cheater in their eyes, but I will NEVER understand why we can't delete one single save that is corrupting our ONE entire game save file like we could on the 360. Ridiculous...
