    How to deactivate a Halo 2 key?


    Hi there!

    I have an issue with the key of my copy of Halo 2 PC, I was playing the game on a computer, and now I want to install it in another computer but I got a message unavailable to register the key, I tried to uninstall the game in the first computer and I got the same.

    Is there a way to reset the activation key?

    Product Key doesn't work

    The key can only be used once. Since you want to play the game, you will have to purchase a product key yourself, as keys cannot be deactivated and reused or transferred from one account to another.

    This is assuming that you are using a downloaded version of the game.

    • Go into the Games for Windows Live program on your PC.
    • Click "Downloads"
    • Click on the game (Halo 2)
    • A drop-down will appear with "View Game Keys" at the bottom.
    • Click on "View Game Keys", and that will show you the CD Key.

    Sadly no. I'm using a disk, and keep it in an extra case since I lost the old one. Which, I believe, had the key on it.

    That's why I'm wondering if the game is connected to my account in any way, and if there is a way I can get it back.

    Also please go to Start > Settings > Ease of Access > Color filters when Battlefront is opened.

    See if the option "Activate color filters" is enabled. If it is, please disable it.

    Also disable the option "Allow the shortcut key to activate or deactivate the filter".

    Let me know how it goes.
