    How to create a minecraft realm on Xbox One


    Hi,

    I have an XBox One with Minecraft, and it says v1.14.30.

    I'm interested in creating a realm.

    I see this message when trying to create a new world:

    "you cannot play on Reals because of how your Microsoft Account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy & online safety settings on aka.ms/accountsettings."

    Exactly what setting do I need to enable? I looked through my account settings on https://account.xbox.com/ and don't see anything disabled.

    The only thing I can think of is that I don't currently have xbox live gold - is that the problem? Will I need to buy both xbox live gold AND pay monthly for a realm?

    Yes unfortunately you will need to pay for both if you were on windows 10 you would just have to pay for the realm the realm has a back up cloud system which is why one if reason you have to pay for both on Xbox

    I cannot buy a minecraft realm. - Realms requires Minecraft: Java Edition to play. So get Minecraft, then come back to buy a Realm.

    How to Subscribe to Realms

    1. On your device, launch Minecraft and select Play from the main menu.
    2. If you’re signed in to an Xbox profile, you can start a new Realms subscription by selecting Create New. From there, you’ll have the option to choose a brand-new world (Create New World) or use an existing template from My World Templates or Featured Templates to create this world on Realms.
      • If you haven’t already used it, you may be given the option to try a free 30-day trial of Realms. Realms trials aren’t available on Nintendo Switch or Amazon Fire TV.
      • When creating your Realm, you can either make a one-time purchase (with a set duration of days) or buy a recurring monthly subscription. In both cases, the billing for your purchase is handled through the device’s store.
    Note Purchase options for Minecraft Realms may vary by device.

    1. Complete the purchase on your device.
    The next time that you play Minecraft and are signed in to your Xbox profile, your Realms subscription will appear above your single player worlds list.
