My new monitor()MSI Optix G27C) doesn't have speakers, and so obviously when I plugged my Xbox in through HDMI, the video was fantastic, but there was no audio. How do I get sound (through my audio interface) with my Xbox One?

    :)

Audio transfer from XBOX direct to my headphones.

    Hi.

Normally i would connect my 3.5 mm headphone input to the output on the back of my monitor. However, my new monitor disable the 3.5 mm output as soon as I connect the HDMI (since it also carries sound). I´ve thought of a workaround and wos just wondering
before I try it if you think it would work.

Using the RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 and connecting an audiocable with R+L and a female output to connect my headphones in to and just continue using the HDMI for picture.

Will audio transfer from the XBOX into the Audio R+L and into my headphones via the A/V connection on the back of my XBOX while the picture transfers from HDMI (XBOX) to HDMI (MONITOR)?

Playing Xbox 360 on my PC monitor

All you will need is an HDMI cable this will provide you digital video and digital audio via one cable. With VGA its analog video with and DVI is digital as well but provides no audio. This link provides information on different cables you can use to connect
    to a monitor or HDTV

What are you wanting to connect to for audio?

If just using headphones then you are all set.

    No sound

Does your monitor have in built speakers, or 3.5mm audio jack? If yes, I think you should connect via HDMI as it will carry sound as well.

However, if your monitor doesn't have any of those you need to get speakers to connect directly to your Xbox.

Connectivity issues between Bone Anchor Hearing Aids and an Xbox console.

my best solution for you then would be to connect his Bluetooth to an audio receiver hooked up via HDMI to the Xbox and use a seperate mic plugged into the controller via 1/8” or otherwise certified for Xbox

That should give him the best interface for audio quality.

Playing on PC monitor with external speakers

To be able to play in HD on a computer monitor, you will need to be connecting over a HDMI or DVI connection, meaning your monitor must have one of those ports. The PVR (The GE version at least) only has HDMI so what you will need to do is connect the Console
to the PVR, and the PVR to the monitor via HDMI. That would provide video support. As far as audio, Microsoft came out with a "HDMI Audio video dongle adapter" with the HDMI kits, it plugs into the AV port of your Xbox and has output options of RCA and Optical.
So if your external spearkers are the 3.5mm jack, you will need a RCA to 3.5 adapter as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Xbox One with external speakers/headphones

This may or may not be related but I just purchased an Xbox One and connected it via HDMI to the same television that I also use as my computer monitor (also connected via HDMI). The external speakers that are connected via coaxial S/PDIF to the television
will play the audio from my computer but not from the Xbox One. Currently I'm having to switch the audio on my television to the built-in speakers instead of the external whenever I'm on the Xbox One source.
