How to connect XBOX ONE X to a home NAS like SYNOLOGY DS214play

I have installed Media Server in Xbox and no way to find anything external..or UPNP or nothing to connect to my network where I have the NAS atached.

I start to belive you con only connect to a USB drive.

In the nas I have multimedia files...that are indexed with the Synoloqy Multimedia Server.

yes, i read them before

but my Xbox media player does not recognize any NAS nor has no options in any menu ti search for any network atached devices

No way to get any better information, photos or menu steps on Xbox?

Hi All, I have a Synology DS413j NAS and I was initially very disappointed the Xbox One did not have the capability to browse my NAS and select movies/music as I did with my 360. I have the DS Video and DS Audio apps on my iPhone/iPad provided by Synology
and have found that I can select the Xbox One from within the app and stream direct - it works great - just thought I would post this for any other Synology users out there.

Ok, using DLNA I can add my NAS on XBOX media centre. However I can't open anything because the Media Player app doesn't ask for the login or password.

All I want to do with my XBOX and NAS is browse the folders located on the NAS and use the XBOX to play the movie via my home network. I've tried browsing folders using my XBOX ONE X, but all I see is folders and files actually located on the XBOX. How
do I use my XBOX ONE X to browse my local network and play a movie from my NAS?
