    How to connect sound bar and xb1


    Just bought an ilive 37 in sb. I currently have my direct and tv running to my xbox 1. How do I connect my sb so that I can get sound when watching TV and playing games?

    Sound bar has red/white out or optical out. TV does not have optical

    Xbox One Sound bar setup

    Ok, so i have my Samsung sound bar connected to my XB1 with my TV and so on and everything works great, but my sound bar only has one optical out and thats connected to the XB1, does anyone know if i connect my optical out from sound bar to my TV and then
    the TV HDMI to my XB1 if it will still recognize my sound bar, power off and voice command, volume etc..It's just that i have other devices connected to my TV and would like to use the sound bar for those devices as well. I just wanted to know if anyone knew
    before i unplug cables and move my entertainment center, thanks.

    Lg sound bar with xb1 help!

    So im trying to figure out what the best configuration is for my xb1 and lg sound bar. Currently i have the hdmi going through my cable box to the xb1 for use of the tv. Then an hdmi going from the xb1 to my lg tv. As for the sound bar i just have the optical
    cable running from the xb1 to the sound bar. Ive never owned a sound bar so im not sure if im getting the best possible sound. Could anyone tell me if theres a better setup for all of this? Thanks!

    One S connected to soundbar for atmos, screen flashes

    Found this:

    1. Update firmwares for TV, XB1S & Sound bar.
    2. XB1S HDMI OUT (to TV) goes to Sound bar HDMI IN. (DOES NOT GO TO TV)
    3. Sound bar HDMI ARC OUT goes to TV HDMI ARC.
    4. TV AUDIO set to PCM. TV VIDEO set to ARC.
    5. Sound bar audio set to HDMI IN. (NOT HDMI ARC)
    6. XB1S Video set to 4K UHD.
    7. XB1S Audio set to ATMOS.
    *Most importantly, XB1S HDMI OUT (to TV) DOES NOT GO TO TV, BUT GOES TO Sound bar IN! XB1S HDMI IN Should NOT BE USED!

    having the same issue its not the sound bar cause the only time it ever happens is when i'm playing my xb1 no issue with my cable box, ps4 or wd live hub just the xb1

    You say the TV is connected by arc to the sound bar. What is arc? Perhaps that is the problem. Is there a way to connect the sound bar directly to the TV?

    Love the console. Was surprised at how easy it was to set everything up. I love how i can control my TV and vizio sound bar with just my voice. All in all, the XB1 is amazing. Only thing i find a bummer with is having to wait for the game to install....takes

    Does the sound bar have an optical connection? You could TRY connecting the Xbox to sound bar directly (pretty cheap cables on amazon) and see if that rectifies it...
