how to config 2 xbox and child accounts

need to have 2 xbox one with parental control and buy the game in a parent account and all the children in the 2 consoles can play as I do?

Can't purchase Minecraft for child.

I have done the following (all for the single purpose of giving Minecraft to 2 of the kids for Christmas).

1) created a free xbox account for me (the dad).

2) created 2 free child accounts (one for each child..they both have their on xbox 360)

3) purchased 2 xbox 1600 point cards and handed them off to Santa which delivered them today

4) added 1600 points each to the 2 child accounts. When I log in as each child it says they have 1600 points in the account.

5) FAILED to purchase minecraft from the console or the online accounts. Tried both. Error is that you can't purchase because it is a child account.

Changed the child profile to adult to allow for download but that Failed. Googled around but failed to find anything to fix my problem. How and the heck do I get minecraft on my 2 kids xboxes?

Need to change Xbox Live Adult account to Child account (Family Settings)

I don't know how I've cocked this up but I added 3 children to 'my family' on the Xbox One, 2 are showing as child accounts and I can control what they can and can't do, the 3rd account seems to think it belong to an adult and I have no control over it.

How can I revert the account back to a child account that I have control over? I've seen loads of threads on child to adult but not adult to child.

Parental control would cover both accounts regardless of what console they are using. Those are just settings related to the accounts themselves. However, in order to share games you'd have to set a console as the Home console for the parent account and
the other accounts can share the games there. You can only set one console as your Home at a time, so in order to share on both consoles, you'd either have to buy the games twice or buy the games from one of the child accounts.

You don't need to buy separate gold for each account.

You can set Child 1's Xbox as child 2's home Xbox, then only buy gold for Child 2's account.

Hopefully those links will help will help with create your child's account. Be should to enter your child's birthday correctly because it can't be change.

There are 2 ways for an account to be seen in the system as a child account.

1. The DOB on the account when it was originally setup. There is no way to change this in the Xbox profile side of things.

2. If it is part of a family as a child account. Even as an adult an account can be added to a family as a child and the system will see it as a child account. You can sign into your account at account.microsoft.com/family and it will tell you if you are
in a family and whether you are an adult or child in the familly. If your account is the only one on the page that means that you are the only member of the family and the account is considered an adult account.
