How to close a service order when not needed and device not linked to my Microsoft account?

Hi I thought we had an issue with our old Xbox and called up where we got it from and they said send it back but we were doing something wrong and it was ok so never returned it, now when I try to register the device I can't because we have an open service
order. How do I close it?

    :)

Can't get Console serviced for 3 months already!

The first service request I submitted in July - it was not fulfilled. I contacted Service desk via Chat in September, they were very sorry, could not explain the reason why the first service order was not fulfilled and opened a new Service order number:
1355393444. My device is subject for replacement, and by now I should have received a box and a mailing label in order to send my console for replacement. Another month passed and I have received nothing. Can you advise how long does it take to fulfill a service
request? Can you please escalate the resolution? I feel that 3 months without any response or status update from Microsoft/Xbox is not an acceptable service level. Thank you for your help.

    My Replacement Order

I had this same question. When I completed the order for my replacement, the website told me I needed to send it back before they would send a replacement. They linked a set of instructions on how to package it, and the instructions explicitly stated that
I should not send back accessories. I am confused!

    Controller warranty

You will need to register the device and create a repair order. Here is a link to the

    support page
. Note: In order to create a service order for an accessory, you first need to select the console. Once in the service order creation screen, there is a drop down menu to change console to accessory.

    Hope this helps!

    Delete my account

    Hi Cecelia,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. Closing a Microsoft account means you won’t be able to use it to sign in to the Microsoft products and services you’ve been using. Since yours is a duplicate, please be sure that it no
longer contains any files or subscriptions, etc prior to closing it out. If your Microsoft account is linked to an Xbox profile, then you'll be deleting that profile and gamertag. There’s no way to close your account while keeping your Xbox profile or
    gamertag.

Here is a link to a support article containing the steps you'll need to close your account:How to close your Microsoft
    account

Give it a try and let us know the results!

Best of luck and I hope that this helps out!
