How to close a service order when not needed and device not linked to my Microsoft account?

You will need to register the device and create a repair order. Here is a link to the

support page. Note: In order to create a service order for an accessory, you first need to select the console. Once in the service order creation screen, there is a drop down menu to change console to accessory.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. Closing a Microsoft account means you won’t be able to use it to sign in to the Microsoft products and services you’ve been using. Since yours is a duplicate, please be sure that it no
longer contains any files or subscriptions, etc prior to closing it out. If your Microsoft account is linked to an Xbox profile, then you'll be deleting that profile and gamertag. There’s no way to close your account while keeping your Xbox profile or
gamertag.
