How to clear the cache for MS Solitaire Collection

I saw some guidelines previously, on how to clear the cache, but I don't know how to get there again

:)

 

How do I clear statistics

I want to clear my current statistics on my Premium Solitaire Collection. How do I do that?

To clear the system cache

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
   
2. Select Storage or Memory.

1. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
   
2. Select Clear System Cache.

1. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

Clearing the Xbox 360 cache does not remove:

• Your gamertag
• Content that you have downloaded
• Game files
• Console software updates

Clearing the cache temporarily removes:

• Previously downloaded game updates. You will be prompted to download these updates again the next time you try to play the games.

Thanks for replying quickly. That's probably where I saw it last. I'm too scared to uninstall & reinstall, coz Murphy's Law is never too far from me. This isn't the 1st time I've had difficulty at Event time, but I'd hate to lose Solitaire entirely (like
someone else did)

Some games have the New Deal option when you right click to start a new game.

However, on certain games have the option of resetting the Cumulative Scores. Follow the instructions and check if this.



a) Click to open the game.

b) Press
Windows key+C.

c) Click
Settings.

d) Click on
Game Options.

e) Click on
Reset Cumulative Score and this is game specific.

Microsoft Solitaire Collection FAQ. The link has troubleshooting steps that should help, however, it does not mention clearing the cache. Also, there is an issue with the events if that is the reason for trying to clear the cache. You can try this:

You can also run the
Windows Update Troubleshooter or manually
check for new updates on Windows Store to ensure that the updates are successfully installed.

If the issue persist, restart your computer to normal startup to disable all the unnecessary apps running on the background of your computer.

1. Press Windows + R on the keyboard.
2. Type msconfig, and then click OK.
3. On the General tab, click the Normal Startup, and then click OK.
4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.

I didn't do this but I just rechecked - the event is now loaded & working - can you post it forum-wide? thanks

If you're logged into your microsoft account when playing, it should automatically sync your progress between devices.

 

This didn't work for me, nothing happened on the 1st step, so I successfully updated the MS Store, played the Event (with the glitches I've had since the beginning of the month). There are still more options posted here...so I'll have just have to trying.

Some people posted a problem was also with accounts not being recognised by MS, I didn't mention it, but I was one of them...
