How to clean sticky buttons on an xb1 controller?

Just a quick note, we're not supposed to discuss self-repairs in any capacity on the forums, so I would extremely advise against taking your controller apart and voiding the warranty.

I haven't been unfortunate enough to spill soda on my controllers, but I would probably just give it a good wipe down with a disinfectant/baby wipe. The q-tip suggestions I've seen seem like they would be more useful, but I would definitely be careful with
how wet you get it. Too much moisture isn't a super great thing for the internals of the controllers. Worst case scenario you'll probably just need to get another controller.

So far I've tried q-tips, but I need to get deep in behind the triggers, and the q-tips don't fit.

I've tried canned air, and it cleaned dust and grime out, but did nothing for the stickiness.

All I have left to try is to spray some rubbing alcohol inside and hopefully that'll work, otherwise I'll be taking it apart.

If anyone has any other tips feel free to drop them.

At this point I'm checking out sales to see if any controllers are going to be super cheap for black friday.
