How to chose the perfect PC monitor to play with my XBox One S?

Hi guys!

I am going to buy a PC Monitor, both to display Streaming movies coming from my laptop and to play with my XBox One S.

I have a limited budget (max 400€, incl delivery, or even less if possible). However I would like to have the best gaming experience for that price.

I played Assassin's Creeds Origins on my mother's 4K TV set and it was just gorgeous!

Here are my questions then:

- What would be the lowest resolution acceptable to enjoy the potential of the XBox One S?

Does the XBox One S support WQHD (2560x1440)?

- What shall I consider for the sound output?

Any monitor that has Built-in speakers or a 3.5mm jack connection should be OK, right?

- Are the other criteria (response time, connectivity other than HDMI, frequency , etc.) also really important?

I found the samsung u28e590d which seems to match all what I am looking for. Any feedback with this monitor?

How to connect Xbox One to PC speakers??

Hi all! I use my pc monitor to play on my Xbox One. I have an audio output, so I can connect my head phone to my monitor, but I'm not able to use my PC speakers.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to connect speaker to Xbox?

Can xbox one s use the pc monitor with hdmi connection, so that i dont need to use tv to play xbox one s. I will just use pc monitor with hdmi connection.tks

You want to aim for the best response time when looking for a monitor to game on. From what I saw that moniter has a response time of 4ms which isn’t too bad for the price and the resolution you are getting. If you plan on using a One S with it then you’ll
be able to use the Xbox at 2160p resolution. Keep in mind though you won’t be gaming in native 4K because only the Xbox One X supports this. You will still be able to stream Netflix in 4K and other apps that support 4K

the Samsung you talking about isn’t compliant HDCP 2.2, I discovered it the hard way, I got this Samsung monitor. HDCP is a crap anti-piracy system form intel that works with handshake, meaning both the source and the output must be compliant HDCP 2.2, so
you won’t be able to watch Netflix 4k. Is it worth it anyway?

Max res. For Xbox 1s is 1080p for games. Max frame per second is 60fps for all consoles, so unless you wanna use your monitor with a gaming pc too, 60hz is fine. Then you got TN vs VA vs IPS panel, it depends if you prefer fast input lag vs deep black vs
better colors. My best experience was with Samsung C32F391FW that cost around 300£, and it got Freesync through hdmi, so can be used with an Xbox one x too I guess, but only 1080p, I didn’t feel the input lag at all (5ms), and Colors were vivid.

My monitor's native resolution is 1080p. The quality is perfect on my PC monitor. In the display setting, it is set to 1080p. When lowering the resolution, it gets worse.

The Xbox One S (White) seems like the epitome to me. Simple, elegant, not noisy at all and a very "pure" look.

I would particularly like to mention the use of the vertical stand, which makes it look even better and makes it a perfect fit next to my computer monitor. That way I can switch between PC work/gaming and console gaming in a whim.

I got a new monitor biotech GNV27DB and on my PC my monitor runs perfect at 2560x1440p@144hz through a display port. (the hdmi to DP adapter just gives me a black screen) My HDMI 2.0 is plugged into my Xbox and Monitor and I can only seem to choose between if I want high FPS or 1440p no matter how much I’ve been messing with the settings. My PC does is perfectly fine so it’s not my monitor. So if DP is impossible to connect to Xbox, **** am I supposed to do to get the quality I paid for ?? This is ridiculous how Xbox has no Display port, and minimizes you from using its full potential.

Can you please tell me which xbox console you are on.
