How to check if disk faulty

Two games on my XBOX ONE have stopped working - FIFA 16 and Forza Horizon 2. Both freeze during initial load. Both are on disc. I have other games on disk that still work OK. I have been through all steps of Support Troubleshooting, but can't work out what
is causing it.

I want to check if its the disks or the console. This may be a basic question, but can I try those disks on a friend's console? i.e. If they have the game already installed from their own disk, can I just put my disk in their console on their account and
see if it works, or will I have to sign in with my account on their console, and will I have to re-install the game on their console?

I hope my question makes sense.

Check storage for any corrupted files which are displayed in the colour yellow. Try cleaning cache. Try installing disk to hard drive by pressing x before starting the game. If it installs 100% the disk isnt the problem the console is if the installation
fails the discs faulty. Hope I helped.

Disc reading error

You may have to buy a disk replacement repair it could be faulty or if its just a certain disk try installing it and if it only fails on one disk it deffinetly needs a disk replacement.

Looks like a faulty disk, would go back to the store and let them check it out or try that disk on a different Xbox.

could be a faulty sata cable or a faulty hdd, you can test the disk all you want but it could be an IO error causing it.

you could try crystal disk info to check all the smart info to see if there are any errors listed on the hdd log and then crystal disk mark to tesk read write.

You got a faulty disk. It happens occasionally with the first batch of disks.
