How to change your gamertag if you'd only like to change the case from CAPS to Lower?

Gday,

For some reason I feel like i'm the first person to ask this question.......

I'd like to make a change to me gamertag, the problem is, that in the eyes of Xbox live and my Microsoft account. That change is actually a change at all ( due to the fact that the spell is the same). Because of this I can actually use the Change Gamertag
feature on my xbox or any other device for that matter as when checking for the availability a less than surprising answer results.

Unfortunately you would have to change your GT twice. Once to something else to free up the GT, then a second time to enter it with the capitalization you want.

pay once to something else then pay again to change it back however you have to wait till it's free there is no garentee it will be free immediately if it's that important to you

I just looked up your account and it actually shows both gamertags. If the classic tag (which is now the rapidpup tag) was given a forced gamertag change, you'd have to check the enforcement site to see if shows anything there and to see about submitting a case review.

Otherwise, the only way to change it from that would be to pay for gamertag change.

Hello Blue, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your gamertag.

My apologies but the system does not recognize changes between upper and lower case on your gamertag. As such the only way to change it would be to change it twice. Once to a different gamertag and then once to the same name.

Beware though, if you have numbers after your gamertag they many change as it will technically be a new gamertag. Also, if you do this please be aware that you will be charged for each change.
