How to 'Change' the e-mail address used to sign into my Xbox Live Account?

Hi I was wondering if there is an easy process to update the e-mail i use to sign into my xbox live account.

Currently i use a VERY outdated e-mail that i would like to change.

Also is there a process to this that doesn't require the use of an xbox 360?

Need to change my e-mail address linked to my XBL account. Help?

I'm not sure how to change my e-mail in there though. I've changed it in billing info and contact info... but to sign into my XBL account I still have to sign in with my old e-mail address.

I used an incorrect e-mail address for Xbox LIVE

When I was prompted to create an Xbox LIVE account, I used an incorrect e-mail. I misspelled my e-mail address, and now, Xbox won't allow me to change my address unless I verify the other (incorrect) one. I attempted to use the misspelled account, but it
already exists. Can anyone tell me how to change e-mail accounts? IT would be most appreciated.

Go to Billing account information and sign in with the Microsoft account (email and password) that is associated with your Xbox Live account.

Note If you don’t know your Microsoft account or password, see Manage your Microsoft account.

Make changes to your billing account information and click Save.

Hello, there's no way to delete a gamertag, the only thing you can do is change the e-mail on the gamertag to another e-mail. So what you'll have to do is change the e-mail on this account so the e-mail address is free to use on another account. To get instructions
on how to do this you can follow the directions on this page:
support.xbox.com/.../manage-live-id.aspx.

Does your XBOX 360 console sign into the correct gamertag "Maddison Monroe"? If so please check which Windows Live ID is on that account and what Windows Live ID you are using to sign into this XBOX.com account. Please make sure to physically check and not
just say it is as other's have said the same thing and when they go to physically check on their XBOX 360 the e-mail addresses are different.

To check the e-mail address that is on your XBOX 360's gamertag please do the following:

My XBOX > Select your Gamertag and press A > Go to the Account Management Tab > It will list Windows Live ID

Please confirm that this Windows Live ID is showing up under:

http://www.xbox.com > Hover over My XBOX > Select Accounts > From there select Contact Preferences on the right and check the e-mail address.

It's most likely not the same, if it's not then please recover RevoltingDock02 using the e-mail address you are using to login to XBOX.com with onto your XBOX 360 and change the e-mail on the gamertag to something else so it's free to use for your primary gamertag

It sounds like you may have used a different e-mail address for your personal Xbox Live account. Are you able to try a different e-mail to see if there's any change with what signs in?

If this account/E-mail was setup only used with Xbox then it should be possible to change the E-mail address on the
Microsoft Profile page however if this E-mail address is also used by your sister for any of the other services provided by Microsoft such as Skype, Onedrive, Office 365 etc then it will not
be possible to change the E-mail address for just the Xbox live account.
