How to change the age of a child account?

So my child made this account when he was obviously below age 18, but he is now 19. Is there anyway to change the age of his account so he is the adult in the xbox family or just change the age in general so he can do stuff without saying he's not the age
of 18?

I am Gold and i was trying to download Fable 3, but it says that my account is Child, Teen. So i want to know how to change it. I know the email and pass of my Parental Control Because i made and error on my age and put child age, so How i changed from

The age of the account can be changed on Microsoft page but the system will still tag it as a child account since it will remember the birthdate that was put when you first created the account. So it is advisable to put your real birthdate when

you create an account to avoid this.

As said there is no way to change your child's account to an adult account until the age of birth you have put has reached the age of an Adult for your specific region. There are some troubleshooting tips that if your account is past the birthday and still
a child's account there is a way to promote to an adult account.

Support is correct. It's not possible to change the age of an account once it has been created and change an adult account to a child account. In order to be able to use restrictions for him, you would have to create a brand new, child account for him and
your account would be the parent account. Nothing can be transferred between accounts so he would have to start over.

Are you sure you can't change the age of an account? I just went into my account on live.com, and went under personal info. I changed my age to the age of my child. When I hit "save", it prompted me that I first had to revoke consent for my child accounts.
I didn't continue, but it appears that if I do revoke consent, then I will have successfully changed my age. Then I'd have my account with a child's age, and I could create a new account and make my old account a child of the new account...

Changing the age under your profile data cannot change your xbox account from child to adult. If you have registered an account under 18+ of age in xbox live service that is a child account
