how to change storage for downloaded content

I just got xbox 360gb 4GB and I also have 2 16GB usb sticks. I installed both, and the system properly recognized them, but when I want to download any demos etc, I am unable to select what storage to download to and I believe it defaults the the 4GB internal
storage? am I doing something wrong or Microsoft is really hard forcing everyone to get xbox 360 with build in hard drive?

Fable Trilogy Bundle problems.

First, try to update your Xbox Live information by clearing your cache. You may have an older version of the item you’re trying to download or purchase on your console. Here’s how:

Delete the Marketplace System Data. To do this, follow these steps:

Press the Guide button on the controller.

Go to Settings, then select System Settings.

Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.

Select System Items.

Select Content Cache, and then select Delete.

Clear your console cache. Here’s how:

Press the Guide button on your controller.

Go to Settings, then select System Settings.

Select Storage or Memory.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select. The cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

Select Clear System Cache.

When you’re prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

Restart your Xbox 360 console.

Retry your purchase or download from Xbox Live.

If you continue to receive this error message, there may be a problem with the offer on Xbox Live and you need to contact Xbox Support.

Solution 2: Delete the content and download it again

Delete any active downloads from the active downloads screen, delete any partially downloaded content, and then try to download the content again. Here's how:

Press the Guide button on the controller.

Go to Games & Apps.

Select Active Downloads, then select Cancel All.

Now that the active downloads are cancelled, delete any partially downloaded content. Here’s how:

Press the Guide button on the controller, then go to Settings.

Select System Settings.

Select Storage, then select your storage device.

Press X on your controller for Deletion Suggestions.

Scroll through the suggestions and delete any content that has a yellow exclamation point. The exclamation point indicates content that is incomplete or corrupted.

Now that the partially downloaded content has been deleted, try downloading the content again. Here's how:

Go to the Settings hub and select Account.

Select Download History.

Select the item you were having problems downloading.

Select Download Again.

 

Minecraft Skin pack 5

I downloaded this skin pack and most of the characters are still locked.

1. same profile same console.

2. Settings System Storage skin packs are there.

3. trying to change skin under the change skin tab.

4. skins have locked symbol next to them, selecting that says no content available.

Have deleted and re downloaded it several times. also have Trail version installed

 

If you select the item while it's downloading you should be able to change the storage device.

In the meantime you can head to Settings>System>Storage and find the items that you have downloaded and move them to your flash drives.
