How to change purchase choices?

I have already allowed all apps via Microsoft Family on the internet but my son still can't purchase games or Xbox live.

How do I change payment choices on the 360. This support page is for Xbox One only. I read on another thread and somebody said you have to change the permission on Xbox 360 and Xbox One but we don't have a Xbox One.

When I try to purchase xbox live gold it gives me this statement:

Change your settings to allow purchases
Your settings are blocking purchases of free or paid content. If you still want to buy this, first change your settings to allow purchases. Parents will have to change this setting for children.


Does anyone know how to fix this?If it's not possible to fix this can someone tell me how my parent could purchase me xbox live gold by paying it on their profile and sending it to mine.

Password Protect Purchasing Instead Of Passkey

Wouldn't the simplest be to password lock purchases and account changes and just have one profile always signed in? No need to change settings, log-in to other accounts, etc. Just pick up and play, without risk of purchases and something more secure than
Passkey guarding purchases. My nephew knows how to work redstone, but not xbox menus. Funny how things like that work.

Is he trying to make the purchase via the website or console?

 

He needs to make the purchases from the console. The 360 store is set up differently from the store on xbox.com and the One. So the parental controls will only work on the console itself.

 

Thanks for your help. That makes sense. Although, it would be nice if I could change settings like that without a Xbox One.
